Director Biography - Leon Landsberg

Landsberg studied in the field of media arts at the University of Cologne. Along the way, he began working as a video artist for theater plays. For his stage-work he elaborated new concepts and connections between film and theater art. His work led him to theaters in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Vienna. Most recently, he filmed the six-part web series "Edward II - I am Love" together with director Pınar Karabulut for Schauspiel Köln's digital streaming service.

The work on "Roots" started in 2019. This project was his first short film as writer and director.
